September 2026 | Deer Valley East Village Update

Update provided by the Deer Valley East Village Marketing Team.

MONTHLY UPDATE

It’s been an eventful month in Deer Valley East Village. The highlight was a day of helicopter operations installing the towers and crossbars along the full length of the new Hail Peak Express. It was a striking sight for anyone in the village that day, and a major step toward opening the newest  lift tin the expanded terrain for the upcoming ski season.

Hail Peak Express will add 200 skiable acres and 7 new runs to the resort and will carry skiers from Deer Valley East Village directly to Hail Peak’s new terrain on the resort’s easternmost edge. The new lift will feature 86 chairs moving 2,400 guests per hour over 1,130 feet of vertical rise.

Among the seven new runs debuting this season is “Hill Yeah,” named in tribute to Hill Air Force Base in Northern Utah. The run reflects Deer Valley East Village’s continued commitment to the Salute to Service program, which honors service members and military families with exclusive access to  lodging and amenities at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley and  Deer Valley lift tickets.

Canopy Deer Valley and the Grand Hyatt are open and operating and both properties are excellent spots to take in the fall colors this season, either with a staycation or a post-hike meal at one of the numerous dining options.

Behind the scenes, planning for the village’s retail and commercial core is well underway. JLL, leading commercial operations, is actively working with retailers and restaurateurs who will help define the character of the village core in the years ahead.
